Now it is possible to use anti-wrinkle injections to reduce the the muscle size and tension caused by teeth grinding. In one simple visit, the muscles can be relaxed for up to six months. This usually leads to less damage to the teeth and in an improved appearance with large muscles returning to normal size.

Improving a 'gummy smile' used to require a really major surgery which involved cutting some jawbones and resetting the position in a more aesthetic position. Now it just requires a few small injections under the lip.

By relaxing the muscles which excessively elevate the lips, it is possible to eliminate a gummy smile for up to six months with each injection. Results usually take a few days to achieve their maximum effect.
