Whitening at Seapoint Clinic
At Seapoint Clinic, you can benefit from our on-site dedicated teeth whitening suite, which enables you to get a naturally bright smile at a time that suits you. This means you can sit back, relax and even watch TV as your teeth are whitening by our expert team. Thanks to our customised whitening formula, we are able to perform in-clinic teeth whitening for people with sensitive teeth or have struggled with home whitening products. On some occasions, people may experience some form of sensitivity after whitening, but this tends to only occur towards the end of your whitening session and quickly fades soon after. A simple trick to help with sensitivity after whitening is to put Sensodyne toothpaste on your teeth to help alleviate any sensation.
Obviously there is a limit to just how white your teeth can naturally go. On average, our Deep Teeth Whitening treatment can get your teeth as white as possible, usually lightening your smile by nine to twelve shades in as little as one 90 minute session, but this can differ from person to person.
If you’ve got staining on your teeth from red wine, tea, coffee, anything like that at all, come for one session of zoom tooth whitening and we can bring your teeth up to 8 shades whiter in just a single visit.

Over the counter whitening vs Deep Teeth Whitening
Many people assume they can achieve the same results as in-clinic whitening by using cheap, over-the-counter alternatives. However, over-the-counter alternatives such as gels, toothpastes and whitening strips can take weeks or even months to slightly whiten your smile. With in-clinic whitening, it's clinically proven to be able to whiten your teeth. So, how does it all work?
Here at Seapoint Clinic, we use a light-activated whitening gel with hydrogen peroxide. As the hydrogen peroxide is broken down over the course of your treatment, oxygen enters the enamel and dentin, bleaching your teeth a healthy shade of white, all the while ensuring the structure of your teeth is unchanged.
How can I maintain my white smile?
Habits such as smoking, drinking staining drinks or foods such as coffees, teas and curries can all impact the whiteness of your smile. On the day of your whitening treatment, our experts will be able to advise you on what dietary changes you may need to take in order to maintain your smile. A useful way of keeping your teeth white is by using our tray whitening. This, when combined our Deep Teeth Whitening, is a great and inexpensive way of ensuring your teeth remain sparkling long after you've left our door. Tray whitening allows you to "top up" your teeth safely and effectively, with whitening syringes readily available here at Seapoint Clinic.
