Straight Teeth in Only Six Months!
One of the most popular treatments here at Seapoint Clinic are Six Month Braces. The idea behind Six Month Braces is simple, we only focus on the front teeth in order to give you a fantastic looking natural smile and don't alter your back teeth. We can provide Six Month Braces in both clear and conventional metal braces. Although the white coloured braces are slightly more expensive, the fact they match your own natural tooth colour makes them far more discreet and one of the main reasons as to why so many people are now opting for orthodontic treatment no matter what their age.
We often find that patients who opt for Six Month Braces may have been previously informed their only choice was braces for two years or get veneers. However, no matter what your circumstances may be, we can get you back smiling with confidence in no time at all!
As we utilise the very latest dental technology combined with time-tested techniques, we are able to move your teeth safely and quickly. We do this by using specialised low force wires that gently position your teeth into the right place.
Dr Myers made the whole treatment so easy and seamless! There were no problems and I'm just delighted with the results!

Six Month Braces
Many people still assume that braces are purely for teenagers, however, quicker treatment times and more discreet methods of teeth straightening mean that patients from 12-60 are now opting for orthodontic treatment. It can feel a little alien at first for adult patients when they first get their braces fitted, however once treatment gets started it becomes quite comfortable and before you know it you'll barely even notice you're wearing them. The low pressure used to move your teeth can mean they feel slightly loose at first. This is completely natural as the ligaments used to hold your teeth in place are being slightly stretched. There's no need to worry, as soon as your braces come off, this soon goes away.
One of the most common questions we're asked is what foods are suitable to eat while wearing braces. Needless to say sticky/hard foods such as toffee should be avoided and staining foods such as coffee, curries and red wine should be cut down. As your braces are adjusted with each check-up, we change all parts that stain and replace them with new white/clear ones, so there's no need to worry.
Another option when it comes to straightening your teeth is Invisalign, which can actually be removed for eating and drinking, meaning it doesn't stain at all!
