Paediatrics

Paediatrics

At a young age, teaching a routine of dental hygiene, identifying and fixing potential future issues and teaching children to care about their dental health is extremely important. By doing so, their teeth can last a lifetime.

Our specialist paediatrist, Dr. Rachel O'Donoghue, loves building a rapport with our younger patients and is dedicated to providing the most up to date and progressive dental care to children in a comfortable and friendly environment they can enjoy.

At What Age Should I Bring My Child to the Dentist?

As soon as their first sets of teeth begin to come through. Although milk teeth fall out, it is important to keep an eye on how they come through as this can often be a sign of how their adult teeth will look. We can also begin to help your child understand the importance of brushing their teeth.

At Home Care

While we can explain to children the importance of taking care of their teeth, they will often copy what their parents do. If you make dental hygiene fun, taking care while brushing and flossing to establish a routine, you'll help set an example for your child that will last a lifetime.
