Orthodontics: Your Questions Answered
What is Orthodontics?
The function of orthodontics is to correct teeth and jaws that are improperly positioned. Crooked teeth do not fit together correctly can lead to decay and increased pressure on the jaw. By choosing orthodontic treatment, your teeth could last a lifetime and make for a much healthier mouth.

Can Anyone Get Braces?
On average, the ideal time to opt for orthodontic treatment is above the age of 11 or whenever you're permanent teeth have fully grown. The reason why our teenage years are perfect for treatment, is because our bodies are still undergoing a rapid growth spurt, making treatment time much shorter.
However, that's not to say you can't get braces as an adult. In fact more and more people are now opting for orthodontic treatment from the ages of 25 to 60! Some people who had braces as a child or a teenager need them for a second time when they get older. Why? Some people neglect to wear their retainer as much as they should. And other people have mouths that change naturally.
Dr Myers made the whole treatment so easy and seamless! There were no problems and I'm just delighted with the results!
