Let Your Teeth Shine This Christmas

In the lead up to the Christmas party season, we get an influx of patients looking to add a touch of sparking to their smile with some tooth whitening.
There are lots of common questions that patients ask when booking in for tooth whitening and some valuable advice we give to all patients.
We’ve also got an offer on our Zoom Tooth Whitening her at Seapoint Clinic. We’re offering you Zoom in-chair whitening and take home custom-made trays to keep your sparkle topped up for just €295, saving you €200 (normal price €495).
We want to make sure you’re fully prepared before you come into the clinic to refresh your smile.
We advise that if you haven’t had an appointment with a dental hygienist in the past few months that you book in to get a clean before going ahead with whitening. This ensures that you are not whitening any plaque or tartar build up and should enhance the effects of your whitening.
It is also wise to avoid staining/dark food and drink during the few days following your in-chair whitening when you will probably be whitening at home.
Tooth whitening does not hurt, but many patients experience some sensitivity following the procedure. This should ease within a few days of finishing your whitening. Sensodyne toothpaste rubbed directly on the teeth should help with the sensitivity.
We’re often asked about our prices compared to some of the over-the-counter trays that are available. The quality and strength of the bleach we use in the clinic is only available from a dentist and can’t be bought over the counter. We also take impressions of your mouth while you are in the clinic so your whitening trays fit nicely in your mouth like a personal retainer. Trays you make yourself from a kit will be may allow the gel to link into your mouth and allow saliva into bleach. This can make the bleach less effective and could cause damage to your gums. Do you really want to take that risk?
You can find out more about tooth whitening here at Seapoint Clinic on our tooth whitening page. You’ll also see some before and after shots of some of our happy patients dazzling smiles.
