Fixed Teeth

Fixed Teeth

In days gone by, the only way to replace your entire upper and lower teeth was with a standard set of dentures. Although dentures are a relatively quick way of replacing your teeth, there can be drawbacks. Dentures can often feel bulky in the mouth and can make chewing difficult, meaning you can't enjoy some of your favourite foods.

Many of our patients come to us looking to replace their tired old dentures with the help of fixed teeth.

Fixed teeth (otherwise known as full jaw dental implants) look, act and feel just like your own natural teeth. They can also help protect against facial collapse, which can occur when there is a lack of a tooth root in the jaw.

I was very happy with my dentist, he was a gentleman the whole way through.

Dental Implants

A fixed dental bridge is supported by implants. By opting for this option, your teeth will remain firmly in place, enabling you to chew all foods and are not taken out for cleaning. They are fixed in place just like your own teeth were. Unlike a denture, they are firmly attached to the implants, so there are no denture sore spots. They are cleaned in the mouth just like your own teeth. It is the most successful and longest lasting of all the options available. This will allow you to maintain the bone of the jaws also and so reduce the risk of any facial profile changes. These teeth can be made to look very natural just like your own teeth and can be made to any colour you like.
