Dental Emergencies
Dental emergencies often mean a toothache or severe pain, but other issues involving the tissues in the mouth can also refer to an emergency - such as infections, restoration (fillings) or a fractured/broken tooth.
It can also include dental trauma - as the result of an accident or sporting injury. Whatever your case may be, we will do absolutely everything to resolve your emergency in a timely process. We can advise you over the phone and online on the best ways to help you cope with any discomfort if you cannot see us immediately.
When can I be seen?
We recommend calling the clinic first thing in the morning so we can try and accommodate you as soon as possible.
What are common dental emergencies?
Dental emergencies are usually a broken tooth, abscesses, pulpitis or pericoronitis. Whenever there is pain involved, we consider it to be an emergency.
Is a lost crown an emergency?
If it's causing you pain or if it is a front tooth, it can be considered an emergency. Regardless of the circumstance, the crown will need to be replaced, as there is a risk of compromising the tooth structure that is left.
