Considering Braces? Try Invisalign
Orthodontic treatment among adults is increasingly common nowadays, thanks in part to Invisalign. Quite often, people associate orthodontic treatment to teenagers with traditional metal braces, but what many people don't realise is that adults can also benefit from the advancements made in modern dentistry.
Over the last 15 years, orthodontic treatment has taken leaps and bounds in how we treat patients, essentially making it possible for people of any age to benefit from the advantages of properly aligned teeth. This is why Six Month Braces and Invisalign have become among our most popular forms of treatment in recent times. With the advent of Invisalign, we can now use a series of clear trays that help gently shift your teeth into the correct position over a period of 12-18 months.
This method replaces the need for traditional braces, which can take longer, and make them near invisible to the naked eye. They are the ideal choice for someone who may be in the public eye, social events or someone who simply wants discreet braces.
Can Anyone Get Invisalign?
There are no age limits when it comes to Invisalign, with treatment helping solve a number of issues such as spacing, crown and bite alignment to name but a few. Thanks to its revolutionary design, your teeth can be moved into their ideal position with minimum pressure and minimum impact on your daily life.
How Does It Work?
We use a high-tech iTero Scanner which takes several images of your mouth, allowing us to recreated a pinpoint accurate 3D model of your mouth. We can then plan your treatment accordingly and even show you how your teeth will move into the correct position over the course of your treatment. When your Invisalign braces are first placed in your mouth, it may take some time to get used to. However, this sensation usually only lasts a few days and within time, you'll barely notice them at all.
The Benefits of Invisalign
There are several benefits to Invisalign treatment, one of which is that they are virtually invisible, meaning they won't impact your social or professional lives. They are also removable, allowing you to eat all of your favourite foods without restriction, making them less susceptible to staining and are easily cleaned. This also allows for regular brushing and flossing. As your aligners are replaced every 2 weeks, the pace of treatment can be controlled, with your aligners designed and customised to fit your specific needs, the ideal amount of pressure is placed in the correct spot to help re-align each tooth into their ideal position.
Invisalign simply requires you to wear the aligners for the recommended 22 hours per day, as by wearing them for any less period of time can impact your treatment duration.
